Every person has a worldview. It might be helpful for you to know that I am a professing Christian and am able to incorporate the Christian faith and theology into the counseling I offer. In the Christian counseling world, I identify as an Integrationist – one who seeks to honor and incorporate both the inerrant truth of Scripture and some incredible findings of modern day, evidenced based treatments in the fields of psychology and neurobiology. It can be difficult to find a counselor that both holds and understands orthodox Christian beliefs and who has been trained through evidenced based training to treat trauma. This is the intersection that brings me the most joy and sense of purpose in my work.

I always work to understand and respect my client’s worldview, values, and beliefs, understanding that even within the Christian faith, views can be different. However, when seeking a Christian counseling approach, my goal is to help clients process their experiences through the truth of the Bible and through current evidence based research of understanding how the brain and body work together to inform perspectives.
